Well I really feel like [censored] now. I contributed in having a CEG'r leave this site. I'm sorry MystiqueGS97 for helping to offend you. You worked hard at your project and I should have respected that.

That's it, no more criticism from me.

hey man. i think your headlights ARE better than original stock. i think they still have some serious potential. they look really nice so far, and i'd like to know how you did it. im getting some ideas myself now.

edit: but i still see more things that can be done with it though.

I think if the grille was not so ,how you say,"tin-snipped it out 5 mins ago" and had some gutter gaurd or the original grille there, then the crticism would be far less. The front looks unfinished. First we see a poor grille then think the whole thing sucks beacause we're getting picky. Hey, just finish the grille and post the reults, I'm sure you'll be appreciated for your Original Work. The only one in existence, perhaps?

The only problems I forsee would be the beam pattern, or lack thereof. However, this leaves the door open for a custom setup, perhaps using those mini-quad headlamps used in the Camaro/Firebird, or perhaps an actual HID system with projectors in the lowbeam area.

And to the rest of you jackasses. Nice going. Nothing like seeing a bunch of e-thugs beating up on somebody to remind me how much this site has deteriorated.

Thats what I was wondering about when he started this mod. Granted, a good portion of the light would still hit the ground, and it would probably be brighter then it was if his original lenses were yellow(ing). It just wont have the tuning that a new set of factory replacements would have. A set of Hella 90mm units would fit, but it would require some decent trimming of the original headlamps. That is why I just scrapped my original lamps and mounted them directly to the header panel. Rectangle quads might be a better idea with the horizontal lines on the front of the pre-98 Mystique. I do see it being able to turn into something different, that would actuall give world class performance, not run of the mill Ford performance.

I remember my first headlamp mod to my car. LED city lights. I got flamed about that, not this bad, but it happened. The LEDs went away when I blackened out the unused surfaces in the headlamps and corners (Hightower type), the car looked much better. Those lamps faded again, and so they gave way to an assortment of Hellas with brighter and more controlled lighting then almost every other Contour on this board. The best part, unlike Milan, I dont plan on copying my mod for anyone else. I will help out if questions are asked, but other then that, nobody will have the same setup that I do, ever.

I'm assuming that the pattern will be a "pencil beam" spot with no side to side lighting, which would make the "dark tunnel" formed by DOT lights even worse.

Audi projectors would fit with no problem. Additionally, you could probably get a set or two of those reflector optic 4 X 6 diamond back H4 headlamps and shoehorn them in there, similar to what some Taurus SHO owners do with their cars.

Damn, makes me wish I had a set of Mistake headlamps to tinker with.

I actually took out my grill and the mesh insert to start on my headlights ....i have the xenon bulbs in there right now and it does have the tunnel beam ..... and i was wanderin if there WAS a way to fix that......im still selling the car or hopefully selling the car......i was looking at a 95 probe gt with a racing rims and clutch and exhaust already there... i had so many ideas for my car it was gonna be so tight when all said and done.....already started the interior painting, i was gonna put the svt kit on there and maybe lower an inch or two...but it has givin me nothing but problems and im tired of puttin soooo much money into it and having to turn right back around and putting more

I will get some better closeups after I get the covers to take up the space between the lamps The highbeams are in shipment, that will fill the area between the center lamps and the projectors.
