Just wire around it. It's cheap and easy. I have the wire codes for that.

You don't need this harness, it's only a bunch of wires...you better cut the wires and re-wire with a ford diagram, you"ll have no problems and that'll be cheaper, it's so simple to bypass it, i did it and don't know anything about audio system, you just have to take the good wires, cut them and restart the wirring to the head unit !

mods ? Wut ! 19 inches ! My Car SOLD

OK here we go.
You will need a pack of splice connectors for 16-14 gage wire.
Electrical tape. A crimp tool would be usefull for the splices. You can pick them up pritty cheap or maybe a neighbor might have one.
The small square connector is from the radio and the wide flat connector is from the amp, to the speakers. There are three wires on the wide flat connector you don't need, I just left theme alone and taped up the connector with electrical tape after cutting the other wores off. The three wires on that big connector are Black/Yellow, Orange/Yellow, White. They are the three on the connector buy themselves. All the speaker wires are in a row.
From Radio..............To Speakers
White/red......RF+......Brown/Red
Brown........RF-......White/red
Pale Green.....LF+......Brown/yellow
White/Orange...LF-......White/Black
Purple/wite....RR+......Brown
Light Blue.....RR-......White
Light Blue/Black.LR+......Brown/White
Yellow.......LR-......White/Violet

If my system is already installed with a connection to the amp, do I disconnect the power and cut the three wires from the amp as you have suggested to bypass the amp?

I have Pioneer speakers and a Blaupunkt headunit, but the amp makes a hissing sound in the background.

your help would be appreciated. Thanks.

My way cost about 5bucks. All you need beyond that is a crimp tool and those are cheep.

And a pain in the a$$ to go back to stock... Sometimes spending an extra few bucks is worth avoiding all of the headaches (especially for the [audio] newbies who tend to be the ones that ask this question). The master sheets that Crutchfield supplies are also a nice source (tho, I've got a link to them somewhere).
