Hey Group,
I am getting ready to order a set of new tires, 205/60/15 for my 99 SE. I have been riding on Pirelli Sport Veloce and they have been decent, but I am looking for something a little softer and longer lasting. The Bridgestone Turanza LS-H and Potenza RE950 both sound like they fit the bill, but the user reviews seem to be so similar, it is hard to judge which would be better. Also, i notice that tiresplus now has the Turanza Revo and not the LS-H, with a very different tread pattern. Anyone have any experience with these tires, I would like to hear your opinions for sure!
Thanks
Mikeydo

I am more concerned with Ride Comfort (Softness and quietness) and Safety now, of course wet and dry braking and handling is part of the Safety also.
IN general I am happy with the Pirelli's, but they lasted at best 30K before they were dangerous and I don't drive hard. They also have been a little noisy.
My review of the Pirelli's: A decent tire, far better in every respect to the Firerock OEMs. Great in dry, Excellent in wet traction, stable in hard cornering. They were good with lateral snow traction (probably due to the center channel and extra edges on either side of it), but little go power in snow. Overall a great blend, and I would certainly buy them again, except i am now looking for a slightly softer touring based tire with some performance blended in. Also, they do lose most of the wet traction after 25K and have been a little too noisy and rough over the interstate bumps during cross-country drives.

Tire Rack I might say Dunlop SP Sport A2's been very happy with them for near 20k now, very quiet and a all around good tire, light snow is not a problem, good in the wet but I had the feeling of hydroplanning once or twice just as good as the Michelin Pilot XGT H4's my parents have on their cars

Yokohama AVid Tourings....I love them, and they were really cheap. Good in snow and rain, quiet and peaceful ride.

Sport A2's all the way.
AA traction rating. Try to find another H-rated tire with that! There aren't many.

I agree with the Avid Tourings, but just last week I bought a set of the Kuhmo 716 HP4's for my daughters ZX2 and am really impressed with them. Best part is they are H speed rated and only $41 each for the 205/60HR15's. I plan on replacing my tires this year but it is now a tossup between the two!

I have has AVS100s on my SE (wiht BAT kit) for about 4 weeks now. The ride, handling, and noise levels are supurb. I would highly reccomend them.
