Weird fishtail action ??? HELP! #58348 04/14/02 12:58 PM

OP eagle98 Member E Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 36	I have a 98 Contour SE, 2.0L. Only when making right hand turns, the car will all of a sudden try to fishtail slightly back left. Sometimes it will do this several times. The left control arm was changed (thought front bushing was possibly bad), the strut, ball joint, wheel bearing is all new. Front end-alignment has been done. I know the car was previously whacked in the front left. What if the engine/trans was not centered properly? What if the sway bar was slight bent ? Just desperately grouping for possible answers. HELP!!!

Seems that you have done all that other work, I'm sure the tires are fine..... but i had a similar type of problem in an older car, and it turned out my tire had very little air pressure, and i couldn't tell because they were 40 series tires. Member G Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 113 Rochester,NY	i bet the alignment is off...weird hadling problems happen when an alignment is off 96 zetec gl.dynomax exhaust(self bent) KKM intake..Bridgestone Potenza RE-910's...other mods also 87' Ford Thunderbird..Now my daily driver ( the wife uses the contour mostly) true dual exhaust with the super mystery mod.(hey there not even there!) tinted windows and stereo upgrade. the $200 car is starting to be a great car
