Not until the first time you want to fold the backseats and load something into the car. It won't hurt to hang the amp there though. Some amps can't hang upside down thoug but I don't recall ever hearing of a fried amp from hanging sideways.

I bolted two amps and a power cap to a board which is bolted to the back seat. It came out really clean and I'm really happy with it.

I just installed mine there on Sunday. I prefer that location for it as it was too big to really put anywhere else. The one thing I made sure of was to place a nut under each of the mounting corners between the amp and the back of the seat to allow for cooling. I think it looks cool there too.

I mounted a 3' ft of plywood and carpeted it and mounted both my amps to it and have never had a problem. My seats don't fold down so that helps as well.

Man I guess 114k is a lot of miles for a '00 .

Well i didnt because i didnt have the system in b4 i put that board in, but its only going like halfway accross the back seats, so there is some space for some of the bass and stuff to travel thru the seat. this summers project is to cut out a big hole in my rear deck and it will sound kick @ss.
