I read on this site somewhere that there is a TSB for the 95 V6's about the timing chain making a rattling sound at cold start-up for like a second. It also says that some parts there have to be upgraded to 96 standards. Is it possible for a 98 SVT to experience this? I ask because it appears that mine is doing it. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Only the early V6's had this problem but as these engines age it can happen. The main 'noise' comes from the rear(right) bank close to the drive end of the cam cover. The 'fix' are new chains, guids & tensions ,worse case is you need new camshafts and crank gears as the cam gears are part of the shafts...expensive job in both parts and labor...
