I developed a ticking that is different than the ticking when I spun a bearing. So I started trouble shooting. Compression good. No cel or misfires. So I took the intakes off and the valve covers. I wanted to see parts floatig around but no luck. Here is where the question comes in. I have never worked with OHV before and was wondering if it was normal for them to move left and right. It hardly moves at all but the little movement I do get causes a single "click". About 6 of the cam Followers total do this the others have no play whatso ever. What's the deal? Are they supposed to have any play or not? Could the play cause the ticking? Can I tighten them to try to rid my self of the ticking?
