For anyone who is interested in getting their car out on a real race track at race speed, there is an Open Track Day coming up at Waterford Hills (Clarkston, MI - 15 min NW of Pontiac)

Date is May 24th, cost is $100. Track time has been estimated at 1.5 to 2 hours, or roughly ONE DOLLAR PER MINUTE OF TRACK TIME! All you need to do is bring a car in good condition, a Snell 85 helmet (no motorcycle helmets)and yourself.

I'd like to add that this will be a MUCH better time than autox, basically they are opening the track at 9:00 in the morning and closing it at 6. Between those times they are going to run groups constantly to give as much time as possible.

Another advantage is the intstructors there will be experienced road racers, so the quality of instruction you will recieve will be very good.

Also if you are concerned with wear and tear on your car, the sessions will be confined to 15min. to limit any problems associated with brake fade, and other issues associated with long stints.

I highly suggest you come, I will be there for sure, and will gladly help any others out who are new to the track.

My tour definetly isn't ready for the track but I would LOVE to come. i can still come to watch right? Or is there like limited space available?
