I'd look into a Lambda PB10 or PB12 from www.lambdacoustics.com for some great bass (deep and accurate, these subs are not SPL monsters).

BTW, go for a 4ohm SVC (single voice coil) sub. You'll bridge the rear channels of your RF 200.4 which will give it 100w RMS (pleanty for a PB).

Umm i have never heard what they recommened. I would say for a good price go on Ebay and get a Infinty perfect for 144.95 i think it is. Very nice subs

I have never been disappointed by Orion subs starting with my first set of 12" XTR DVCs back around 1990. The new XTR and XTR-Pro are solid values. I've seen some great deals on the HiFonics HZ series too and they sound very good for an inexpensive sub. Right now I've been using quite a few MA Audio and Audiobahn subs for myself and friends with excellent success and you can find excellent deals on them right now if you shop around.

Our local shop is always a great source for inexpensive carry over models too. JBL, Memphis Audio, Cadence etc. stuff can always be had for under $90 each in a pinch.

To be honest, there is so much of this stuff around that if you go with a known contender [JL/Orion/MA/Infinity/HiFonics/etc] and stay away from the pretenders [Kicker/Pioneer/Crunch/etc], you'll be fine. Also, if you stick to the more mainstream companies, at least you won't have to worry about them going out of business next week...

that's my version of reality....

Agreed. I've also had very good experiences with Orion XTR's and they provide pretty good performance for the money. They used to have a lifetime warrenty (I don't know if they still do). The shop I used to get them from would exchange one for you on the spot, no questions asked; I never blew one though. I am still using a 12" XTR SVC from circa 1996, but just ordered a 12" Infinity Kappa Perfect DVC which should get here tomorrow. I haven't fiddled with my audio equipment much in the last 7 years. I just transferred my equipment from my old car to the new one. It's only been within the last couple months that I've been looking at car audio again. I forgot how expensive this hobby can be.
