my stock cd player was being a bastard so i took apart my whole console and dash around stereo, but thats fine. my problem is i bought a wiring harness from autozone and it comes with 2 thin rectangular harnesses and i have one thin rectangular and one small square which i am assuming is the amp which i did not think i had. so whats going on?? if it is the amp harness, how do i get around it w/out having to wait for crutchfield to get me a bypass harness or rewiring my speakers? autozone had a premium sound harness, will that work? im confused, any help would be great, meanwhile my car is in pieces in my driveway.

no that won't bypass the amp. it will work without the bypass, but i would recommend getting one sooner then later.

ok, thanx. i took 2 hours to finish everything but i just manually bypassed the amp and took it out. that thing weighs like as much as a can of tuna, i can't see justifying it as an amplifier. i just wired the speaker wire from the hu to the speaker wires that originally came out of the amp. it sounds great with the new hu, cant wait to get the new speakers in.
