I need a 100' Cat5e ethernet cable to hook my computer up to a router in the house. I looked at Best Buy's website, and they sell a Belkin cable, cept its 80 freakin dollars....what a ripoff. Anyone know of any reliable internet sites that sell cables of this length?

So far Im considering buying from here:

How important is it to have a shielded cable? Also, is it recommended to get one that's certified to 350 MHz?

For longer runs it can't hurt to have both.

If you are really industious (sp?) you can buy bulk cable from places like home depot and crimp it yourself, although for one run it might not be worth it economically.

Check in the yellow pages for any local computer shops, most of them probably cut CAT5 and crimp it themselves, you can probably get it close to what places charge online, and you are helping a local business, that's what I did.

Andy W. The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
