Ok now that I have the new clutch in, I am wondering about the "hang" in the rpms when I shift. I don't remember it doing this sort of thing when I shifted before the new install.
In other words, if I am accelerating and I shift gears, say at 4k rpm, the engine stays briefly at 4k rpm then falls right when I am in the next gear. It seems there was no hanging with the old clutch.
Any help?

The clutch isn't your problem. This is a common complaint. Check out the FAQ section, look for "throttle hang".

Essentually you can reduce this problem by installing a restrictor in the idle air control circuit.

That was one of the first fixes I did when I got he car last year. I don't have the hang when coming to a stop, it's when I shift from gear to gear. The needle just stays there.
Before the new clutch, the needle would come down pretty quickly when clutch is engaged.
