I have a 96SE and have replaced the plugs and wires. I put new O2 sensors on, but any time it is under load it misses pretty bad. I know the secondaries are not opening, I have a new IMRC on order, but I don't think that would make it miss. Even when the car is just idling in park, I can step on the gas and the car misses while trying to rev up. One other point to note is that I have replace the plugs and wires several times and the car will run good for the first few thousand miles and then it will go back to it's old ways.

Any thoughts?
Thanks!

What plugs and wires are you using? It could be as simple as plug choice.

I've tried several brands, Motorcraft, bosch. etc. and this I don't think it's a fuel issue, because the car has been acting this way for a while. Have you ever replaced a coil pack? That's the only thing I can think it may still be.

It shouldn't be hard to change, just make sure to get the plug wires on the new one in the correct order. Other than that its just a matter of bolting it on.

THis is a spark issue. I don't know when you changed them or what you used but FMS wires with the Autolite double plats should work great. About $75 for the combo.
