I have a 95 Contour SE with 2.5 V6. I am getting lots of oil all over the passenger side of the car. I removed the upper and lower intake and there was puddles of oil sitting between the heads. Also I have a cold air intake and there is oil from the engine in the filter. The engine runs good but I notice grey smoke from the exhaust at times. I am not really sure where it is coming from. I replace the PCV valve but I am not really sure this was the problem. Anyone have any ideas what is causing this.

I checked that. It is engine oil for sure. Thanks for the welcome. I have been a member for a long time but lost my old email and password.

im assuming its smoking badly when it runs. check your antifreeze, if it has motor oil in it, then its your head gasket.

There is no oil in the antifreeze or antifreeze in the oil. It is not coming from the valve covers as far as I can tell all the oil is sitting below the valve covers. My question is could a PCV valve cause this??? How is the oil getting into the air filter?? I may have valve seals going bad??
