Hey everyone. I'm sure this has been covered before but I'm trying to figure out which tires I should buy for my E1. I currently have the KDW's on but they need to be replaced. I thought the traction was great but the road noise was pretty bad. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would go to tirerack.com. You did not even mention what is most important to you, price, performance, or longevity? Everyone has a different opinion about tires. Tirerack has a lot of information to help you make a tire decision or at least narrow down the field. Once you have narrowed down the field, it would not hurt to post here to get some experiences about comparing a couple of similar tires. Some people here strongly believe in getting the best performance tire, regardless of cost. Others, like me, find a tire that blends price, performance, and longevity.

After a thorough search here and elsewhere, I ordered The Firehawk SZ50 EP in the 225/50/16 size. They are supposed to be much quieter than the g-Force BFG and nearly as good performance wise. It seems that even you drive aggressively (but not excessively) your CSVT you won't notice the difference. See www.tirerack.com.

I don't have an SVT, but my SE Sport has seen quite a few different tires over the last 95,000 miles.
I started out with the Firestone Firehawks, and then went on to Michelin MXV4+ and those tires were great ! Very quite and EXCELLENT wet traction. On a wet road you would swear you were riding on rails. We never had a really bad winter for me to try them out on, so I can't comment on snow traction.
Now I'm riding on the Micheling Pilot XGT H4 (V4 for SVT), and these are much better than the MXV4+. They sidewalls are a bit taller, so you would have to - size your tires one size, but the reaction time and wet traction are just as good, and there is absolutely NO road noise. This past winter, I had NO PROBLEMS in the few snowstorms we had. I was able to pull right out of a parking space without too much shoveling.

I just recently put some new tires on my car i have 215/45/17 and i put some NanKang tires on there i got these tires for 70 a peice and i am very happy with these tires. The are a high performance tire and awesom wet traction. I never heard of these tires before but i got them anyways and i would recomend these to any one.

I replaced my g-force's with Toyo Proxies FZ4's and the g-forces don't compare not to mention the price and the money I saved over getting g-force's again.
Goodluck!
