How did you remove the hose that attaches to the EGR!

Vacuum hose on top, just wiggle while pulling up. Be careful with hose, however, since it tends to become brittle, can crack easily and is only replaceable as part of a hose assembly.
EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube on the other hand requires big(25mm?) open end wrench to loosen nut at valve end. EGR valve bolts are then removed and valve can be moved away from tube. Do not try and move tube since exhaust end may loosen and is PITA to access.

So when you loosen it the threads are actually in the EGR valve itself? I'm just wonder what I need to coat with WD-40!

Thanks!

Correct. Flaired tube end, threads are at one end of small 2" pipe, nut at firewall end. Save the wd-40.

Remember to loosen, not tighten. Anti-clockwise looking from driver's seat.

Can you provide any input on my other thread, "Removing TPS wiring?"

Thanks in advance!
