Greetings all,

My '96 has developed a brake shudder. At first, I thought
it was a bent rotor. But now I notice it only happens at
a certain speed, 25-30 miles an hour. The brakes are smooth
at any other speed. Any ideas? Thanks.

Probably brake rotors or even drums. See if it's coming from the back brakes by slowing down a few times using the hand brake. I was surprised how much shudder got transmitted to the front from the backs! If there is no shudder from the back brakes, the front rotors probably need resurfacing. Sometimes removing and cleaning the rotors and pads with crocus cloth will do the trick.
