It seems i might have a slight clunk coming from the front of my car when i turn the wheel to full lock. And then i thought i heard it today just pulling out of a driveway no turning. Any ideas, I thought maybee it could be u joint but the boots look fine.

i have the same clunk also when i turn the wheel lock to lock. i was told it might be the front strut bearings have slop or sway bar might be loose. couldn't find the problem myself with a visual inspection. the car is going in the shop monday for a front brake job, front calipers not releasing all the way and the wonderful dealer put cheap as pads on the front and didn't turn the rotors.(there are glazed so bad i can almost see my reflection in them causing the pads to seat improperly)i hope the inside of the rotors are not scored to the point of no repairand must be replaced. anyways my mechanic is going to check out the steering clunk. i will let you know what i find out monday after i get the car back.

When mine was doing that one of the ball joints was bad, I could move the wheel a good 1/2" or more with it jacked up and watch the motion at the ball joint. Just something to consider.

My car had the same symptoms and the front springs were BROKEN...

theres a recall for that lol

but they can still be broken and sit of them lame ass baskets ford put on to "fix" the problem

Im going to have ford check mine again as the clunking drives me nuts.. car feelsl ike its going to fall apart gong around corners or over speed bumps
