So we installed a Alpine CDA-7894 into a E36 M3, and we can get the tuner to play sound, no problem. But when we put in a CD/mp3 CD there is NO sound. It says it's playing, and the equalizer moves, but nothing comes out. We've gone over every setting, still nothing. Help!

Huh? The radio works and you hear music, yes? Hmmm, welp, I'm stumped. It must be a faulty deck, that's my only guess.

Easy fix, My first question is did you us a wire harness adapter? Sounds like you did, If so what you need to do is connect the blue w/white stripe wire from the Alpine to the blue wire in the harness adapter. This will sovle your problem.

We got it around 2 am. You're right/but not right. What you want to do it splice the amp wire (blue/white) to the antenna wire (blue). It doesn't make any real sense, but now the sounds justify the car. Thanks!
