When I drive my 98 CSVT and it gets hot it has a problem starting when it sits for about an hour. I took off the little cap to check if it's getting fuel and it is. The next thing i checked was if it's getting spark and it's not when it's hot because i took off the #1 plug wire and but a screwdriver in it to see if it sparks and it doesn't so I bought a new coil and that didn't fix it. Has anyone else had this problem and what should i check next.

I'm dealing with a heat soak engine misfire and no start symptom myself.
No problems on a cold start and CEL not on.
I've changed plugs, wires, colant sensor, coil, erg solenoid and DPFE (had erg code), gutted Cat, checked for vacum leaks none, gonna pull PCM on Friday and look for corrosion on pins and then Monday if I can't fix problem Ford gets to deal with it! Both my mechanics have tossed me out saying they've done all the can.
Scanning of PCM shows no problems during diagnosis test of OBDII.
I'm hoping it's just a Re-programing of PCM because of new installed parts. (lots of others not listed)
I hope Ford dosen't get it cause they gonna charge me $92.50/hr labour
