Well, it's done. I had to go with oem. Time is a strict factor for me and it was fixed in one day. Hopefully all will go well. I'll pick her up in an hour.

Got the car back. It felt good to get her back and on the road. Now, the clutch feels like I'm stepping in cow poop. Real jelloey, mushy, not stiff at all. I don't know if I like it. Are the springs stiff enough? Did they put in a nonsvt clutch assy? I have the part number on the receipt. Does anyone know the part numbers for the SVT -NonSVT clutches? I need to know soon. I have to take her back for an exhaust leak.

When you put a clutch in (especially stock) it should feel mushy.....as it gets harder it means that the clutch is wareing out....SO if at one time you could let the clutch out 1/2 way, and the car engagues and now you have to wait till its 3/4 or more out for the trans to engague, then you ahve a problem....I forgot to ask you that question before.

but no, you clutch is normal. good Luck...and enjoy your driving.

I will be picking up my E0 tomorrow and paying a huge bill. I had the same thing happen -- blew the differential. Thought (hoped) it was the clutch which called for 10 hours of labor -- $600. Clutch kit was $520. Got the clutch apart and it was worn but ok -- had to replace tranny - $1814. No additional labor but bill was still $3200 since I went ahead and did the clutch anyway. Have them do the rear main seal ($20) while they're in there. May as well get the oil changed too. Good luck.
