Car is turned off, key is out, but the full brake lights are on (including the spoiler light).
If I press the brake, nothing.
Tried pulling it up towards me too... Nothing.
Anything I can check?

There's a plunger switch mounted on the brake pedal bracket.
My size 13 feet have knocked it out of place a couple times, causing the light to come on. It isn't actually bolted down or anything and if it turns far enough it'll pop out.
It's pretty easy to pop it back into place to fix the problem.

Not bad: a 3 minute diagnosis, followed by a 2hr wait 'til customer satisfaction (SalKhan must be a slow runner  ). Good work qaz Ford dealers beat that!

Hee hee! Sorry... It was actually a 5 minute repair followed by a 30 minute TV session and a 45 minute trip to Wal-Mart and the Hospital to pick up my dad's Suburban. I'm about as efficient as a dealer huh?
