I'v got a late 99 SVT. My milage ticker is all messed up. At about 37,000 miles, the thing stuck for about 4 or 5 days, then it rolled over to like 75,000 miles. I was wondering if there was something I can hit, or manually roll it back to about 45-50,000 since I'v put 11,000 miles on it since. It works fine now, I just want it to show the correct mileage. I don't know how much it is to buy a new SVT cluster and I never see them for sale in the classifieds, and I'm sure Ford wants an ARM and a LEG for one. If anybody can help me out, let me know. Thanks

OK, I know that in Toronto there is a shop that will fix gauge clusters. I used them many times to repair Ford Windstar speedos, as well as to reset mileage when a cluster had to be replaced, (this was only done for legal purposes). I never spent over $150 CDN to have this done, and resets were usually under 75.

I'd suggest getting into contact with people in your area, such as scrapyards, used car dealers etc. Someone must know of a similar service in Phillly!

ya im not trying to do anything illegal here....i just want it to read what it is supposed to read. i wrote down the mileage where it stuck, and then rolled over. It calculated out to be about 47,5xx actual miles.
