I have been using Zaino for a couple years now and I have found it to be the best on the market. A buddy of mine (Also an avid Zaino nut) mentioned that he found what seemed to be a similar alternative to Zaino called "Finish First". He calls it "Poor Man's Zaino"...Although I don't think its really all that cheap but a bit cheaper then Zaino. The main advantage I see is that you don't have to buy nearly as many products to acheive the same show car finish...not to mention half the effort.

Anyways, it gives the same if not a bit better shine then Zaino does and it doesn't take nearly as long. It is synthetic polymer based just as zaino is.

My buddy has converted to it and I believe I will give it a try now as well. Its really a nice product and they have an online ordering system too! They offer several different configuration of kits as well as an ala carte menue too choose from.

I just ordered some. I'll post results and thoughts probably some time next week. However, I haven't used zaino so I will not be able to compare it to that.

As I said in my post its not a whole lot cheaper but you don't have to buy 6-7 products to get the shine. Not to mention it drys alot quicker than zaino.

Thanks

Zaino has exactly one more product necessary than any other company - Z1 or ZFX which is your choice. Every other product (QD, soap, clay, tire dressing, etc) you would need from any other company. You don't even need both of Z2 and z5. Pick one, Z2 for light and Z5 for dark.

Anyway, for dark colors, P21S/S100 owns for the final coat.

I tried Finish First and wasn't really impressed with it.. Some of the Mercedes guys swear by this stuff, so maybe I'm missing something. Let us know how you make out with it.

I still think Zaino does a bit better job but it really took me quite a bit long to do my car then it did his. I was still working on my trunk by the time he finished his whole front end. The end results were pretty similar!

Not trying to sell anyone on it just figured I would mention my experience with it...

I really wish Zaino had an online ordering system...I think they would do so much more business. I don't know how long I have had a filled out Zaino order form just sitting on my desk! Keep forgetting to fax it in
