Yesterday I accompanied my best friend to 128 ford to check out a 98 E0 Silver Frost CSVT. They were asking over 13k for it and it has 65k on it...riiiight . Anyways, we walked in there with the KBB Value printed out. ( a little over 9k ) With the trade in of his 92 Tic Tac Mint Green Accord (which had some serious problems) Benny got it for a little over 8k i think. The funny thing was, the salesman at 128 was running his game aobut how rare they are and that you barely ever see them anymore. I just pointed out the window and said "theres mine." He was like "noooooooo $hit!, start a club!" im like, im already in one pal, NECEG! The car is real nice though, one owner, no accidents. Its missing the bottom front mesh but im pretty sure there will be Elky mesh in there soon...we should have pics up in the next week too.

Cool! Now it's time for Benny to join the CEG! Salespeople!! I was looking at one last year and the salesperson thought he knew everything about the SVT's. Hahaha!! He starts talking and I started correcting him. Finally he looks at me and says "how do you know this?" I replied "Contour Enthusiast Group". Then he starts asking me questions about the car and some of the mods people do to them. He now knows lots about Contour SVT's and it's all thanks to the CEG. Can't wait to see the pictures!

last time i was there the salesman tired to sell me an SVT Focus. he was all like it would be perfect for you, you can fit friends in it and it has plenty of room for your books. when i asked why it was more expensive than a regular focus he told me it was a limited edition special run it has a super high performance motor, a six cylinder at that! then i tried to explainto him abou t the SVT part of it, telling him that i owned an SVT contour, he proceded to tell me i got ripped off, because there was no such thing. i then walked him out to the lot to show him my VSt, the one your friend just bought and a green one that was there for repairs. he shut up real quick, and i left real quick wasnt happy with anyof the sales men i talked to there.
hopefully he will be happy with the car. he should tell them he wants the lower grill replaced. they shoud do it for him.

Yeah 128Ford is sketchy, a couple years back I went there looking at cars to buy and when I asked a salesman about a CSVT he acted like he had something better to do than help me. My buddy is definately getting everything repaired/replaced at the dealer at the cost of the dealer. Although 128Ford may be a sucky dealership, they sell CSVTs, and CSVTs are not that easy to find. So im glad we went there and found him a SWEET car at a reasonable price.

I am very careful when I go to a car dealer since several years ago I got ripped out of $500 at a dealer. So now I ask lots of questions, listen carefully to the answers and fully read through all the paperwork I sign. If I sense any BS I either leave immediately or toy with them a little before I leave. My best one ever was when I was looking to trade in my other SVT for the truck I have now, one sales person I was speaking with was acting like a hot shot who thought he could sell anyting to anyone. So, I tested him with some simple technical qustions I already knew the answers to. When he tried to finesse his way out of them rather than try to help me out and find an answer I turned to walk away and said, "I'm not an eskimo and I don't need ice."
His reaction was priceless. At first he looked confused and dumb but when he figured out what I meant and the fact that he just lost a customer he became rude and obnoxious. Jerk.

Two things...
â?¢ 128 Ford may sell CSVT's, but they're not an authorized SVT Dealer. Bonnell Ford in Winchester is the only one in the area (IIRC).
â?¢ See sig.
Either way, if your bud is happy with his new car, that's all that's important.
Good luck to him!

for what it's worth, 128 WAS an SVT dealer until about a year ago. i am fairly sure their status was revoked for poor customer service and crappy sales staff.

I think they still are, because they are currently selling lightnings and SVT foci. and that is where Jeff got his cobra the only thing i like about them is the fact that their service dept, is open until 8Pm. even though the techs suck and the service sucks
