So I installed the DMD finally, did everthing according to the instructions and replaced the bolt, washer, seal, belt (gatorback). It went perfect, except now I have a whine that sounds dead on like a turbo minus the boost. RPM dependent, loudest around 3-4k. If I knew it wasn't something going wrong, I kinda like the sound.
I have a few possible theories if to bounce off you guys.
1. The belt makes noise while breaking in.
2. The gatorback belt makes more noise (opposite to add)
3. My old belt was really shot and now my dead alt/ac/etc is getting spun with full power
4. My DMD is faulty
5. I didn't get the belt on a pully right
Overall, my opinion of the DMD is mixed. Yes it felt slightly slower, but strangly more powerful. The low rpms were identically smooth, the mid rougher, and the high rpms much smoother.
I also did the brakes new rotor, pad, ss line x4 plus ATE SB. This is unfortunate since I cannot brake hard (aka drive normally) for another 150 miles.
