Ive been having this problem for about a week now... The first time the fuse blew out (Fuse number 34) I replaced it with the same exact sized fuse (7.5A) but it blew barely a day later. Then I tried going up a lil and using a 10A fuse...

Well that didnt work and blew out just as quickly. Well getting pissed and asking a few friends who said that it wouldnt be wise to go higher than a 30A fuse in there I slapped in a 20A fuse...

Well that blew out a few hours later... Then I went and put a 25 fuse in there having the same results... Well I finally went up to a 30A fuse and that actually lasted almost 2 days. But then just blew out on the way home... I just put in a 25A fuse because thats all I really have left in my glove box...

Does anyone know why this is happening? Has anyone else had this problem? It affects my headunit (its an aftermarket Kenwood z828 if that helps), interior lights (ALL of them) and my clock. Its quite annoying being as I gotta reset my clock and headunit all the time...

Is it a short somewhere in the car? Im not too electrically savvy but if given instructions on what to look for I can easily do the work myself... I just dont wanna send it in to the shop and lose it for a day... I cant afford to as I travel a lot for work and school...

If anyone has any ideas I can try then that would be great...

Welcome onboard.

Replacing blown fuse with higher rating in faulty circuit could cause wiring meltdown, definitely not recommended. Fuse is blowing because of intermittent short somewhere, possibly under console.
This thread will give you some general info re fuse 34 circuit and probable cause. Read it first and then post again if you require further info or assistance.
