Did you guys (& Gals) know that Comp Cams has a camshaft request form available on line?

www.competitioncams.com/information/CamSelection/default.asp

Appearently if they get enough interest they'll bring a cam kit to market.

Surely there must be enough interest from our group alone, plus there's an awful lot of Durarec's out there in Tauruses, (sic?)

I'll be faxing my request for SVT cams that actually include some torque today.

Do you even realize what you are saying!

The SVT cams hold their TQ remarkably well for the added duration they give.

It's the small displacement, over square, DOHC V6 architechure that does not generate a high amount of TQ. However the immense other benefits (huge powerband, revability, redline, etc) far outweigh the few foot pounds a down grade in engine design would garner.

I'm not down playing the possibility Comp Cams will offer regrinds either. (No way they will offer new cams - just price the rare hollow billet camshaft blanks once! Then factor in the way they attach the lobes! $$$)

However at least one other company already offers regrinds. (Crower IIRC) I am sure others would as well if ONE supplied the profiles.

I still would love to see the ENTIRE power curve of a before and after dyno of whatever cam profile gets made verses the SVT cams.

2000 SVT #674 13.47 @ 102 - All Motor! It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.
