I proceded to do an oil change and coolant back flush.

You CAN still do it yourself, even in the age of the computerized car. The work took me 3 hours and this is the first time I've ever taken the old socket set to the car. A mechanic probably could have done it in an hour. Thanks to the CEG for the diagnosis help. Honestly, this car is a dream, both to drive and to work on.
