my friend has a mustang and was telling me of this mod where you can rig the cruise control buttons on your steering wheel to control the volume of the radio. he said you re wire and put in this flip switch so you toggle between the cruise control and volume control. does this make sense and if so has anyone heard or done this? ill get the link from him today of where he saw it.
if it dont fit, force it. if it breaks, it needed replacing anyway.

Hey, yea I have seen this mod and read the how to on it, it is located at http://mustangworld.com/ourpics/fcar/radiocontrols.htmI do not believe that it will work on our cars because it is specific to the OEM Mach 1 radio since you have to solder into the board. I have a friend with a mustang and he told me about the site, some pretty cool stuff if you have a stang.

If you can do this it would really be nice.
My FSVT has a set of audio controls on the left lower side of the steering column and it is great.
I didn't think it would be too much of a big deal but I really do like the feature and use it constantly.

Or what would be even better is to figure out a way to wire it into the speedo, so when you slow down it gets quiter and when speeding up it gets louder. Just like "Auto Volume" on GM cars, my friend has it on his truck and it's so nice when driving around town.

Ahh, I hate that thing, when your volume changes constantly when your jamming to a good tune, ahh I dont know I just think its a waste and more annoying than good.

Especially if you have it set at the volume right before the speakers start to distort. All of the sudden it gets louder and the speakers die.
