Thats what I am adding to mine. The black case at the pulley end houses two ball bearings, they are duplicating that case but to house one bearing, cutting the outer casing and attaching the housing to the casing at the SC mounted side. It will still attached to the SC the same way it did before.

PM sent, I know they can fix the female end and drive shaft, but the SC shaft will have to be removed from the housing and I have not opened or plan on opening the SC case to see if the SC shaft is part of the impellar or if it a simple gear that then connects to the impellar. That may have to be sent to Vortech.

Is that grease or oil in the pic? It should be grease only. -Mark

Wow that sounds like a good plan, make sure to take picts and let us know what our cost would be if we opt for this down the road.
I offer PnP Heads for all durtec's details at PnPheads.com or jesse@pnpheads.com for details.

I'd be about ready to drill a couple of holes through the assembly and press in a couple of stainless shear pins to keep the jackshaft and output shaft as one unit... The vibration caused by solidifying the shaft that way would probably outlast the splines anyway.

Got my SC back with the added bearing assembly. I will have pics up shortly (in a new thread as well), all I have to say is this is how the kit should be from the get go. The guy did a great job on this project.

I'm curious: Did you hear a grinding noise or notice a lack of boost? What prompted you to inspect it? I've got about 3,000 miles on mine and quadruple checked the spline fit (after hearing of these problems) so I'm relatively confident mine is on there snug. I also get the full 8-10psi at full throttle, so I know I'm not slipping. Any trouble signs you saw would be helpful so I know what to look for.
