SEARCH NAZI!!!

Double plat is the only spark plug to buy (not single, not copper core, not +4, not +2, not "racing", not ANYTHING except true "platinum on the ground and the electrode" plug), except for short term racing use (if that applies).

Don't buy platinum if using forced induction or nitrous, buy iridium (preferably) or copper (if cost is a concern).

Yes, agreed Sleeper, forgot about that. Common wisdom is not to use plat in F/I or juiced engines.

However, Ford is putting AWSF22(something) double plats in the S/C 5.4 (for sure) and the S/C 4.6 (I think). Howcum Ford can get away with double plat in their F/I motors?

Rara, want to comment here ... ?

There is nothing wrong with platinum plugs in forced induction engines.

Many import turbo's come with platinum as the OEM plugs as well.

It's only nitrous that should not run platinum plugs.

Now NO car should even run Bosch platinum. ESPECIALLY a FI'd car. Bosch has basically given a black eye to the platinum plug crowd with their POS products. (melted tips, dropped electrodes, shattered porcelin )

BTW - the stock plug in the new S/C modular engines is the 22FS

My car was starting to jerk and hesitate. I pulled the plugs and found that they were Bosch platinums. Thanks Horse
I put motorcraft platinum plugs in with Ford 9mm racing wires and my car now runs smooth as a baby's a$$.
