OP raytour95 Member R Joined: Nov 2001 Posts: 38 Columbus, OH	I have a 96 zetec with ATX. Was wondering what is the sensor called that sits on top of the tranny directly under air filter box, it has a round multi plug going to it. :p Thanks in advance Can't afford a 911 yet!

Big Jim Member B Joined: Sep 2000 Posts: 1,861 Thousand Oaks, California, USA	Sounds like the MLPS (manual lever position sensor). It is also known as the transmission range sensor. Prior to electronic controls, it was know as the neutral safety switch. The MLPS tells the processor what gear you have selected. Jim Johnson 98 SVT
