I've been trying to diagnose why my engine is still hesitating. I found out that the intake manifold is caked in gunk. The likes of which I've never seen! It's as if the previous owner had run it with out an air filter for years! I'm going to be removing the intake today, I just want to know if anyone had cleaning tips. Other than flushing it out with gas that is.

when i cleaned mine, some of the crap in there somehow cloged something and the idle was all screwed up, and it would barely run. hopefully someone on here can exlain this better.
