actually i was just pointing out the "brand spankin' new" maxima's aren't 5-speeds rather 6-speeds.

and no i don't drive a maxima.
I was simply making an attempt to correct his statements about the car.
and what is a blazer extreme? If it was in reference to the chevy Xtreme's; they are based off the S-10 platform...correct? I'm simply confused about his kill story and trying to make sense of it.

Albeit I don't doubt he could take one. I've taken down plenty of the brand spankin new 6-speeds and it's not too difficult with a somewhat decent setup. But in the end I essentially don't care about a story I read off of a forum on the internet, rather i just like spending a little r&r time here.

With the right driver, a Contour can out accelerate most vehicles this side of $40k sans American V8.

Based off the 95' version rolling around my house, it's a V-6 175HP truck off the rear wheels weighing about 2500-3000 lbs

There's no possible way an S-10 pickup weighs 2500lbs! (We won't even bring up the Blazer)

Heck even the base model, no options, 4 cylinder weighs nearly 3100lbs.
Add 200lbs more for extended cab

You are looking at around 3500lbs for a loaded V6 2WD standard cab.
4WD versions are near 4000lbs. (all extended cab)
Crew Cab 4WD's around 4100lbs.

The 4.3L V6 makes 180HP/245TQ in 2WD models
190HP/250TQ in 4WD models
(pretty sad for such a large engine IMO)
