Hey guys, Whats up..

Well, I havent been on these boards for quite sometime, to much damn school work...But now I am having a problem with Left front end.. I recently replaced the driver side wheel bearing and ever since my car has the urge to pull to the left and to the right. Basicly I go were the car wants.. I do notice a small screaching sound, almost like a break indicater when I am slowing down or making certian turns..

Any ideas??

The only thin I can think of is that when the shop pressed the bearing, there was only a 1 retainer ring to hold the bearing inplace.. I was thinking maybe there should have been 2.. and maybe as a result the bearing is just moving about freely...

Thanks guys..... Any input is appreciated....

HMMMM...
I too had some wheel bearings replaced in the front end recently...
Contours have one of the hardest allignments ever and even taking off a wheel could throw it off kilter... Anytime you replace the wheel bearings I would suggest getting the alignment too. It is costly but eliminates a possibility. - JOE

When I had a bearing replaced recently I needed an alignment badly, but it was only pulling to one side. What you are describing sounds like worn out control arm bushings. I would think that if it were a bad bearing install the bearing itself would very quickly begin to fail, and you know what that sounds like now.
