I've just got a 3.0l TB (Cougar) from a CEG Member.
My Q is this, is there anything I need for fitting to the stock ST200/SVT UIM?
It looks slightly different to the stock TB, but until I get my Pro-Maf, I ain't fitting the 3.0l TB.

This is only so I have the required parts when I do come to fit it.

I've also optimized the Butterfly bar, anything else I should do when it's in bits?

TIA,
Gary

The Cougar did not come with a 3L???

A 3L TB is the same size as a stock SVT/ST200 TB (60mm)

However it is machined completely different and the linkage is backwards. (among a few other things!)
Modifying it to fit would be a serious amount of work and may require a bit a parts fabrication.

BTW - if you have a ST200 you already have a 60mm TB!!!

Damn, I thought the bores were about the same Just didn't bother measuring them.
At least it gives me something to play with now instead of butchering my stock one.
Making a mount for it will not be a problem as I have a machine shop.

Will there be any gains you think?

No. Quite the contrary actually.

The SVT/ST200 TB uses a special linkage cam to give much better throttle response.

As for "performance" numbers. "It's the same thing"

I highly recommend optimizing your stock TB and using the 3L one as a fancy paperweight..
