Hi everyone. I recently purchased a 96 tour, zetec auto. When stoped at a light, there is a noticable vibration in the steering wheel. It lessens if i shift to neutral or park. It stops all together when I accelerate. Any suggestions. I'm off today to get some new pulgs and wires.. any info on the best ones to use?

Sounds like your tranny fluid is due for a change. When it gets old, there will be more slippage in torque converter plate, leading to what your feeling. I'm getting that same thing on my '94 Taurus wagon, and I just changed the darned fluid. Didn't help much, hope that thing holds up for one more year...

Thanks for the advice, however that should not be the problem as the entire tranny was replaced less than a month ago.

Well, scratch that idea.
Motorcraft or regular Bosch plats are fine. Just make sure you get the service plugs that are platinum coated on both electrodes. Couldn't really advise on wires.
How old is your coil pack? If it's original equipment, it's probably fading.

Mine used to do the same thing, the idle is just a little too low IMHO but there isn't any thing I know to do about it. it got better after I sprayed the MAF element with carb cleaner and followed up with brake cleaner.

I have the same problem plugs won't fix it. I have a feeling it is the IAC. I will be replacing mine next week. My car has been doing it for over a year so it isn't anything major. I went as far as to change all the mounts. So i'm sure it has to be the IAC. But could be wrong.
