My 98 SVT all of a sudden won't start. You can hear the starter motor turning when you turn the key but the engine won't fire. It's been raining so might that be a problem.

does the engine turn over at all.... if not then the thing on the started that kicks the starter wheel out might be toasted and the started motor is just spinning but it is not hooking up to the flywheels to start the car

Trollin the boards as of 9/23

It could be the Idle Air control valve. If the engine is spinning then you can probably get it started by holding your foot on the gas a little to crack the TB. From what I have found is the IAC will start working after a little bit of it running like this. Good luck.
