Hey, i have a JVC 40x4RMS amp right now for my doors powered by 4GA wire, I am adding another amp for subs, the Bazooka EL1500 500x1RMS at 2ohms (which i'll be running 2 4ohm subs in parallel for) How would you recomend I power these things. If its at all possible i would like to do this fairly cheaply. Should i get a dist block or can i "daisy-chain" them or is there something else i dont know about? Thanks!

Rookie opinion: A distribution block with seperate fuses would be my guess for the best install! I think 4 guage should be able to handle both amps!

I run 2 amps and just ran 2 seperate 6awg lines off the battery itself with a 60A fuse in each line..works great
'95 Contour GL 2.0L Zetec..no mods..yet..
replaced head unit, all 4 door speakers replaced, 3 subs in trunk

He already has 4ga, no sense in running a new line, best option is to use a fused distribution block. Connect the 4ga to that and you can use 8ga from the block to the amps

will i be ok with only 8 GA going to the EL1500 (500 RMS and it actually puts that much out, not like the pyramid crap i used to have)
