Hi! I would like to know the procedure to locate and remove the intake resonator ? what are the benefits of doing that ? I have read that many people does that to their contours .

Thanks.

Not sure about a '95 since you guys have that extra piece that runs from the intake to the front of the engine bay.

Take off your tire and then the splash guard in your fender. There are screws and little black things that you pop out. After you get all the stuff off...look up and in there should be a black looking tube that goes strait back toward the rear of the car(not in the rear of the car but that direction) Just grab the [censored] and pull...lol thats what i did..It should look like a big triangle shape tube with a big black end...kinda looks like a bulb, i think D Davis has pics ..Now there should be a small hole where your stock intake system is attached..Just keep pulling the black plastic in different directions...There are 2 or 3 pieces. After you get them off there should be a hole going strait through the fender and into the Boot that holds the stock air box to the fender in the engine bay.

Oh and that paddle shape resonator you speak of...well i just took out the whole piece of intake that also housed the IAT sensor and used a small hack saw and cut it strait off...I used epoxy and plastic to cover the hole back up..JUST DONT GET EPOXY ON THE SENSOR......take it out before you start to glue.

So what does that thing do and is it worth the trouble to remove it??? (I didn't even know there was a resonator on the intake until last week, to be honest)

Actually its not a lot of trouble either..It took longer to jack my car up than it did to take the thing off. There are also a few more small pieces to take out. Just keep pulling on the plastic stuff and you should get the pieces one by one...At least thats how mine was..And yes it is worth it..I can't believe how much of a difference in sound and pick up it made..You know those cool summer nights when it seems your car is running great. And like when you put the pedal to the floor it seems like you are going a lot faster...Well it makes my car sound so meen....It gives it a slightly deeper tone than normal. And you get through first a little faster...Removing that paddle shaped resonator thing helps a lot too.
