Roz 1999 SVT-C Hard-core CEG'er R Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 3,506 San jose, Ca	I believe it...my friend had the 2002 GTI and all he did was intake exahust and the "CHIP" and he was pushing about 250 or 260hp(being conservative...he probably had more now that i think about it, cause he dynoed at 259 tot he wheels from what i remember)....Volkswagens are so computer controled that its not funny... These cars are so unreal! Roz 3.0 SVT hybrid...all the fixens...Track/Race ready very soon!!!!!! 20,000 + miles

He's probably got a 93octane program for premium pump gas. Still, you could fill up with race gas and run a whole lapping day at those power levels. I don't have anything against nitrous, I'm just not the drag racing type. Brad's timeslip on the juice is still something that most Contour owners can only envy. - Pascal 1998 Ford Contour SVT - SOLD!

The car had 52K on it, original miles and totally stock, and all he did was the following: -new coil/plugs/wires -100 oct chip which locked converter -new adj wastegate turned to 22 psi -used 3" downpipe -Dynomax exhaust 2 1/4" -open "dumpipe" -160 degree thermostat -upgraded fuel pump/adj fuel regulator -re-capped cheater slicks -cleaned out intercooler -oil/temp gauges You've heard that these cars were freaks and still are I'm not stealing your thunder because thats damn inmpressive when you consider how much you have to do to a CSVT just to get into the 14's Keep us posted Pascal!
