I just put a set of 18" rs-6 with a 215/40/18 yoko tire on the SVT. I have some tire rubbing, I noticed it on my way back from the store with a 40lb bag of dog food in the trunk. I was wondering if anyone could show the correct place to roll the fenders over/under to lose the rubbing?

I'm assuming you're lowered... what kit do you have?

i think that your offset is what is the problem. is it under 40? there are threads about where to roll the fenders throughout this section.

Your tires won't rub, my friend has P215/35R18 on his SVT with a system in the back and he doesn't have a problem so you should be fine.

Yep, 38mm offset is the culprit.
Is the tire rubbing the metal fender itself, or the plastic inner fender liner? Look at the edge of the tire where the sidewall meets the tread. Are there any marks or cuts on the tire sround this area? If so, it's the metal fender lip. If the fender liner is rubbing the tires, you will be able to see where the tire has "burned" against it. If so, you can probably just cut this out on the affected spots.
word.

my 17's rub when i hit a dip at high speeds and i have a system in the trunk, you can just dremmel away the inner part of the fender correct? a friend suggested taking a wooden bat and having someone drive the car slowly forward while i roll the bat to push the fender up, good/bad idea?

My tire size is 215/40/18, they only rub on dips. I can turn the konis hard and no rubbing but the ride sucks. I think i will have to cut the small section that its rubbing out. Mat
