I have been helping a friend replace the headgasket and waterpump on her 86 porsche 944. Today, we broke out her 951 aka 944 turbo, and took it for a spin near starved rock illinois. More hairpins then a hairdresser! I am now sure of three things: 1. my car does not compare period. 2. Boost=smile. and 3. yellow speed limit signs are advisory!

Wow, it was like the day I took my 96se to test drive the SVT, only I started in the SVT this time!

Starved Rock National Park is just outside Ottawa IL

here is the road:
Mapquest
Its short but very fun.

The PCA people from Chicago (mostly airheads aka aircooled) all came out for a picnic on Saturday.

Unfortunately until I got there I thought Starved Rock was a racetrack, and I was hoping to show the porsche people what an SVT Contour can do, but no such luck

Geoff
