Okay quickly when you get new brake pads you don't need the rotors resurfaced right? If not the guy at midas is trying to hose me.

Yes it is a good idea to get them resurfaced it shouldn't cost much more than $10 a rotor.

agree w/ above. If midas wants to hose you they will tell you have to replace rotors, calipers, ... stuff like that.

Dude, Thats Crazy don't spend 600 buck with those rip off shops all you need is a Haynes manual for your make/model a few tools and you can do it yourself in a few hours and way less bucks.I always just replace the rotors with new ones they don't cost that much and less likly to warp.
Good luck

Unless your rotors are scored bad, warped, or have bad pits of grooves...then they don't need to be turned. Turning a rotor will cause it to break down and warp faster. When your caliper is removed, sand down the rotor surface by hand, in small, circular motions. This is just to remove any tiny imperfections and dust.

I went through three sets of pads on my Eclipse without turning my rotors, on thw third set of pads on my Wifes Mirage, and second set on my Cougar, with out turning the rotors once.
