Also with a plain cover, the owner is able to add his/her own logo or just leave it blank.

Matt, I was thinking of doing the "weenie valve cover" originally. I was really impressed with it when I saw it on the Cougar Eliminator at SZ02.
I didn't see the link on the complete engine cover that is available in Europe before I thought about doing this. I printed out the picture of it and will take it to the company this week coming to see if that is a possibility. However, without having something to go off of other than a picture, that might be kinda hard for them to do. Or I could leave my car with them to prototype something with.
The Great One does bring up a good point on a complete engine cover about heat retention. I would think the same thing that it would help to keep heat in. Still, I will ask anyway.

mike, the way i see it, if you're so worried about 1-2 degrees you shouldnt even be runnin the weenie cover... or a hood for that matter this is purely a looks mod... fo reeelze!

Matt, I personally am not worried about having a full engine cover, as I have an SVT and wouldn't want to cover it up anyway. The one I am personally interested in is the weenie cover.
As for the complete cover, my knowledge is limited when it comes to how much heat that thing would hold in anyway. The reason I reiterated The Great One's point was because of that reason and the fact that heat is a problem with these cars to begin with.
If in fact that it would hold in less than five degrees, I wouldn't worry about it either. However, if this thing were to act as a dutch oven, then we would have a problem with it.

I spoke with the guy today and he said he would do it. If we get 15 people in on this, including myself, we can get them for $200 a piece and $50 more for colors. It would take about two weeks he said to get the mold all made up and to start producing them. He has quite a few colors that he could do them in and they all look nice, with even a few custom weaves to the fabric. They had an M3 hood in there and a few other pieces and they all look very nice.
The pieces will be plain. Nothing inlaid and the two vent holes by the hose will not be there either.
I'm going to have this done for myself with blue carbon fibre so everyone can see it at SZ03, if all goes well.

Almost forgot, I showed him a picture of the V6 UIM cover from the Mondeo, and he said that he could do it IF he had one to go from and we could figure out how it attached. The price would be ~$250 for that one.

I replied under the GB section as well but I was wondering about: two different logos available, one for the 2.5L and one for the 3.0L?? Shouldn't be too hard to cut silver lettering and layer it under the clear coat...
