98 SVT. Under load, the engine has a tendency to hang at whatever RPM it reaches, it then slowly works down and then hunts between 750-2000 rpms. So i did the TH fix and it still does it except it limited to a max RPM of 2000 after load.
If I sit at 0 mph out of gear and blip the throttle, no hang. Any suggestions?

You need to try diffrent hole sizes (usually smaller) and also depending on the season, you may have to change hole sizes with the cahnges of season. I ahve 2 one for fall/winter and one for spring/summer

I would try first cleaning the IAC

Well, about a month ago I pulled the UIM and cleaned the UIM, optimized the MAF, TB and cleaned the IAC. I did NOT replace the UIM gasket, TB gasket and EGR gasket. Everything mated well. I had the same TH problem and I chased it all around the engine bay.
Then for some reason, I unplugged and reset the computer over night, vs unplugging it for 10 minutes. Magically it worked fine and I did not question it. Then, yesterday after I detailed the engine bay the car started acting up again, and it has been doing it since.
As for the TH fix, I tried the 2 sizes recommended for the SVT intake. Is there some kind of load sensor that is out of wack???

If the UIM gaskets are old you should replace them. The O-rings will be crushed flat.
Any vacuum leak including too much through the TB will aggravate the problem. Make sure the throttle plate seats well - no gap at all. Look through it at a light.

I used the same pipe cap for about 3 months and I never had any problems. At first, it would stall on me when cold and I made the hole a little bit bigger and it was fine after that. no more stalling and I have a cold idle.

Yeah, tried a couple more, still no go... The IAC is definitely openning and holding, I can hear it hissing when it opens and closes.

Hey... read this postor specifically... my comments at the end of the thread. I have mostly eliminated that problem by fiddling with the TPS connector. I'm going to try to get the Ford dealer to replace the connector though... or find out how much it is and do it myself.
