I would like to see that!
also, what is the weight for the Mazda?
You can take a 260HP Acura RL and still only run 8 sec 0-60, maybe cause it weighs as much as a ship?

Uh, try more like 225hp or less, depending on year. And a curb weight approaching 3900#.

I would be interested to see or feel the difference between the 6 and the taurus/sable with the 24 valve 3.0. I know they are in different classes but I still think that it would be interesting to compare the two.

I rented a Duratec Taurus once, and I could've sworn it felt faster than this car... at least in terms of off-the-line grunt.

In the twisties, SVT would bend over the 6. Dragging, i think the 6 would take it becuase the SVT is geared pretty short.

That's about 200lbs more weight in the 6... and I'm not sure how hard or easy it is to get a 6 without a sunroof, but I recall reading that almost all SVT's have sunroofs.

there is.. I almost bought one.. but it wasn't worth it without a sun roof.. convertible SVT..? lol

I agree you should wait on V6 MTX. I didn't even test drive the ATX, so I don't know how bad it holds back. Got on the lot and knew exactly the car I wanted, Lapis Blue V6/5spd fully loaded. Took it home the next day! I just got it, so I can't lay into it just yet. But I do like the handling at least! I still think its a blast to drive. Not a drag car by any stretch of the imagination. But that's not what I bought it for anyway. Hell the SVT isn't a drag car anyway.

Well, I know the thing pulls way harder than my brother's contour. However, its no SVT. 95SE w/ 125K!
But I would be happy to take on any New Englanders SVTers at Epping this summer! PM me if your interested in meeting up on a Wednesday night. I hardly ever see CSVTs on street nights.

We don't have any publically available twisty tracks out here in the East (at least not that I know of), but I'll say stock for stock, mod for mod, my baby will hold its own against an SVT.
