Saw an as in Eurotuner for these things. It's aluminum an has cooling fins coming off of it. Just slides over your oil filter. Would this work? Probably not enough to do much.

I might help if your oil filter was actually out in the air flow, but then you still have to get a good heat transfer between the filter casing and the fin sleeve to make it work, snake oil if you ask me.

That's what I thought. Does look cool for show though. Maybe if you had mirrors under your car for a show it would beneficial.

i wounder if you could accualy fit it on out car. And even if it isnt in direct air flow it will still cool the filter, not as effective if it was in the flow of COOL air but it would help.

Actually it would help. It's just like a computer. Say the video card's chip is on there w/o a heatsink. Then you put a heatsink on it. Your chip will run far cooler than it did before. Add a fan and even better. Yes, air flow would be great but if the cooler has a good design with fins then it will keep it cooler than w/o the cooler on the filter. It should aid in keeping it cool. A good test would be to feel the fins once it's on. If the fins are hot then it's probably doing the job. Yes the engine heat will have an affect on it but not alot.
