6'3" 180lbs.
My SVT, Zetec, and Merc GS are all very comfortable. Maybe there are just a few bad sets out there?

Too late! I just couldn't deal with my painful seats. Went to a scrapyard and bought 2 seats from a wrecked 98 GL. Lost my power seats, but my car is soooo comfy now. Paid $150 Canadian. Contemplating whether to keep my SE seats for 'leaner' days, or sell them off.

I'd keep em' if I were you. I am 5' 8" and 140 lbs and have no prob in my 99 SE with monster bolsters. Did you us the lumbar support? Did that exist in pre 98 contours?

I did try using the lumber supports, didn't help. Unless you've got the seats out of a 95 or 96 SE then you have the smaller bolsters! They were made smaller in 97.

All I'm saying is in comparison to my old 92 topaz my 99 SE seats feel a lot more like a sports car, atleast with amount of support in the sides they give (i.e. the bolster).
